What financial resources are available if my loved one’s financial resources are limited or non-existent?
For persons with limited or no financial resources, some assistance is available through the State of Kansas. This assistance will likely be Medicaid or Home and Community Based Services (HCBS). To determine whether one qualifies for this assistance and how one qualifies, contact the Social and Rehabilitative Services (SRS) office nearest you. This is critical as some assistance requires personal resources to be spent down to a certain level and other assistance requires being placed on a waiting list.
